hand grip for my wife's side. fits to the roll bar. I like the one on my side. I need to remember to lift my ass over it, but I'm getting better. the benefit of a secure grip is worth it. sometimes it is wet, or I have a bike on my shoulder, or both. this is how I print it. you may notice the designed slight inward bending. the inside fits the curved inner surface of the roll bar perfectly when installed at 45 degrees or close to that. this is an easy one to print at home. the recess is for any protruding rivets. material is ASA so it can take the heat and UV. 3M dual lock to the backside. if she doesn't like it, take it off, no harm done, but I think she will like it.

passenger side hand grip installed to the roll bar. I have a lot of stuff attached to the backside or the roll bar. I use all of it. the baggage area is also fully used. the grip fit was perfect. 15-minute install time. plastic weight = 43 grams.

Wag-Aero tow bar brackets. sometimes I look back at a design and think about my thought process for the part. I think I got this one correct, even though it is a half-pound of plastic. it tucks the tow bar in tightly to the aft baggage bulkhead and leaves room for other stuff, like a folding bike. this buyer didn't request securing pins. I used pins for awhile but over the years I found I just didn't need them, but I am not falling out of loops with a 9. these take longer to print because of the flange taper, but it keeps the load path straight. for load paths, straight is good.

for Wag-Aero tow bar brackets, I use the posilock wedge for a secure lock for pushing. it works and works well with the brackets. the white piece on the left-hand side. years of service and going strong for both the brackets and the posilock. our FBO uses posilocks on their RV tow bar.

the Wag-Aero tow bar will not fail at the weld like my Bogi-Bar did because it is hinged. if you are good, you can install the Wag-Aero bar and lock it with one hand. no bending over.

a busy printing day..... I don't print many of the 8 mm triple hole spark plug wire grommets, but I printed some today and a lot of other stuff.

basically, I come home, print some parts to make money to buy fuel and takeoff again.

a truck like this really catches your eye. the juice!

printing some gust locks and I had this bright idea to harmonize my printers so that I don't need to modify the extruder setting when I load a different tool head, but rather adjust the extruder setting in the print g-code. well, I missed this one (LHS) by 5% and what a mess. it shows how sensitive this parameter is. I corrected the number, and it is back to normal printing now. I made the web thickness dimension within .002 inch. material is nylon fiberglass.

I pulled the trigger on a Pantheon printer a while back. I was interested in the Oozebot but he wasn't ready. the Pantheon printers are made to order, and you have to get in line with a deposit. I was notified today they will begin building it in May. good deal. I will be able to get another +50F operational capability for the nylon carbon and glass fiber parts and better accuracy.

weekend orders are piling on, but I am going to ride my bike tomorrow since weather is coming in after that. I'll print them this week and get them out. I am planning to roll 45+ miles tomorrow. temps are 0C in the AM but going to 16C midday where I am going, a perfect weather day.

print head thermal runaway (foreground).... it doesn't happen very often, but it can happen. it was subtle enough that the safety did not catch it. it became progressively worse until at top it began to smoke the part. be careful with these 3D printers. I push a lot of plastic and have learned you really only want the highest quality printer components for reliability and safety.

printed parts are shipped and some money in my pocket, so I am busting out of here tomorrow for flight/bike ride. hoping to roll 50+ miles on a new trail to me.

headset holder, mounted with 3M Dual Lock, going on 2 1/2 years. dog stake weight = 1.1 lb. scuffing the plastic seems to have made a huge difference.
