I appreciate the work Scott Kelly is doing to support Ukraine, and I want to join him in that effort. It's inspiring to see a fellow pilot supporting the cause, even if he’s flown quite a bit higher than I ever have. Count me in.

I’m Scott Kelly, a UNITED24 ambassador and former NASA astronaut.

I’m writing to you from Gdańsk, Poland, where I’ve spent the past few days meeting with leaders, humanitarian organizations, and Ukrainians at the Ukraine Recovery Conference. Those conversations reinforced something I’ve believed since the start of this war: Ukraine still needs our help. If anything, the need is more urgent today than ever.

That’s why I’m launching my second UNITED24 fundraiser to provide ambulances for Ukraine, and I hope you’ll join me.

For more than four years, Ukraine has been defending itself against Russia’s full-scale invasion while caring for people affected by the war. Last year alone, Ukrainian medics responded to more than 4.5 million emergency calls. Many came after Russian missile and drone attacks on cities across the country, including communities near the front lines.

Those ambulances are doing extraordinary work under extraordinary circumstances, transporting and treating both civilians and wounded service members.
