I have been busy draggin' my tail all over the place in this:

It'sa fun little rental unit and time builder.

...and if you have ANY IDEA how much TIME it takes playing with these ribs to get to this point:

...where they can be primed!

Well, lemme tells ya! Itsa lotta work!

I have been toying with these suckers for MONTHS!

Debur, flute, dry fit, label them in order, match drill, plan out plumbing, disassemble, drill plumbing lines & conduit lines, debur (AGAIN!), scrape off stickers & remove adhesive and prep for paint.

TIMES 28!

Well, I am PRIMING tonight!

Finally!

Riveting ribs to spars later this week! Wooo hooo!

Wicked Stick, are you on the frequency?

 CJ

And then,

on the older kits,

you had to fly-cut 142 rib lightening holes and deburr them also. This saved just under 4 pounds by the way. This didn't even include the holes for the fuel tank ribs, conduit etc. Plus add the holes in the aileron spars, flap spars and flap brace. :|

It is a heck of a lot of work. And then to torture yourself more you put primer on it too! It just seems like it wil never end. Just putting it in the jig is its own reward.

The quickbuilders don't know (or maybe they do) what they are missing. Is missing the right word? :?
