small winch at loft

added a small winch to the loft. could be beneficial in the future. I have an electrical junction box there so I can add an outlet for power. adequate bracing nearby, so it is stiff enough.

load test ....

I added about 100 lb to concrete barrel to reach 360 lb. no creaking or straining sounds. seems solid enough. I'm confident it could easily hold 1000 lb., but I don't need that much. I'll mark the beam, "Load tested 360 lb".

the wood chip outs on the backside were caused from the course drill I was using. need to paint those to make it look better.

now, I only wish we didn't have the rudder and elevator hinges attached with rivets poked into sheet metal and loaded in tension. I am really tempted to change mine to match drilled high strength screws, but for now I will keep inspecting and check my speed. several of the rudder flutter wreckage examinations show the rudder hinge rivets pulled thru and the hinges still attached to the rudder uniball.
