It is raining inside my engine

Post by A2022 »

beginning to emerge from the deep freeze.... a quick flight after several weeks of being trapped. the Great Miami River is frozen over in places. the lowest temperature I noted on this flight was -16C. not too bad. Houston Woods frozen lake could be an emergency landing field. A low wing aircraft is less likely to drown the pilot if the gear breaks the ice. however, when I connected my engine dehumidifier, I believe it was raining inside my engine. oil temp = 160F. using 2.0-inch cowl inlet air dams.
