Oshkosh '05 Attendee List ...

Post by Spike »

13 weeks until Osh '05 kicks into high gear. I have seen many people mention their intention to attend this year. If you are heading out there, pipe up here. I will try to keep a list of who is going so that, if you are interested, we can all try to get to know each other in person.

Also, if there is interest, the best steak house around (The Prime Quarter) is up in Appleton and I fully plan heading up there while at Osh this year. If you guys want to we could try and plan an RB dinner together as a group. I cant think of a better group of people to shoot the pooh with while standing around a grill cooking up your steak and enjoying a refreshing liquid. Any takers? If there are then we will look into getting something going.

Absolutely!! I am in. My father and I go every year, and I just reserved our company $1.72 for Wed-Sun yesterday. We should arrive Wed. morning, and leave Sunday morning.

I look forward to meeting all RBer's that will be there! Can't wait!!!!

Can you tell I'm excited? Ask my wife...every year, I count down, drives her nuts!

Count me in!

I'll have an ale, creamy peppercorn on the salad, 16 oz sirloin (meduim), baked potato, another ale and whatever veggie there is.

For dessert, another ale!

Wicked Stick and 2 other builders in my area are coming with me too!

Sign them up for sirloins too!

I plan on arriving EARLY on tuesday morning and leaving either thursday or friday. Preferably friday!

I am planning on coming for Thursday with my bud Hamilton from Milwaukee. That is, we will be commuting from Milwaukee. So far, I'm just coming for one day.

Hammy let me take his "4" up to Kamloops today to pickup my partner so we can work on our "8". What a cool airplane! I was coming down the chute into town with the GPS indicating 189 knots, Whoaa Nellie! What a slippery machine! Then I landed into a 15 knot headwind and turned off in 300 feet onto the first taxiway. What a machine! Kind of gets a guy inspired to get going on the project.

Cheers, Pete

I don't know yet buddy. The biggest problem that we are going to have is getting people there as its in Appleton and some of us are camping with our planes. I was thinking on the order of Tuesday or Wednesday night. That way the people who are coming late or leaving early can all have the option to attend. Anyone around here live up in that area and care to do some scouting? I have a ton of stuff on my plate and wont be able to get to it for another few weeks.

TWO NIGHTS FOR STEAK!?!

I'm STAYIN'!!!

Depends upon the weather. The plane must be back friday night or it turns into a pumpkin.

If it is forecasted severe clear, I AM IN!!!

...unless Wicked Stick needs to be back.

We shall see.

I think we should plan on Wednesday night. It seems that we have more people that can make it then. I know Poeboy and I plan on departing on Thursday morning for home. We are tentatively scheduled to close on the house that Monday and being the VFR type I want to give myself a bunch of extra days to get home.

I am going to try and make it Wed., but I may not get there until the airspace opens that evening. Do you have a time in mind yet spike?

Oh, my company just bought a BRAND NEW Diamond Star and an Eclipse, so I am planning on bringing the Star now, rather than the $1.72! 8)

I am planning to be there Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but I am staying with friends and may be heading home Wednesday after the show. I hang out a lot in the RV Section and if there is someone who is flying there RV their maybe they could give us their N number and Model etc. and we could have an informal get together at their airplane. We will be having a meal one evening with the friends we are staying with. However it would be nice to meet some the Rivet Bangers in person.

Back from the music festival! Great time!

I will also be in the spam can section. Look for me in a Diamond N810DS.

Spike and Poeboy will be in the spam can section -- N13273 (Bronze stripe over white).

Since Osh is approaching, maybe I'll look into what kindof public transport is available to and from Appleton. The steak joint that Spike wants to go to is AWESOME... not to be missed! :D
