This photo was taken when I wore glasses for the past 40 years, but I no longer need them and don't miss them.
Now I remember, building an airplane is a lot of work!

First flight, I remember developing tunnel vision for about five seconds after takeoff, then it cleared. I looked it up later and have never experienced this phenomenon since.
Tunnel vision manifests in two primary ways: as a cognitive narrowing of focus during high-stress situations, or as a physical loss of peripheral vision caused by rapid acceleration (G-forces). Both forms limit your situational awareness and can significantly impair performance or safety.
