I just faxed my order to Van's for the -7 empennage kit!! I've been a good boy, and waited 'til my shop was ALMOST finished (it will be done this weekend). I did originally say I was going to order it at OSH, but in talking with my local chapter buddies, they convinced me that waiting 'til then would prolong the shipping process as they take a bunch of orders at the show.

So...I'm in the game!  WOOHOO!

Okay...here goes!!

That's good news Chad, hope we will be able to order ours soon. Although our shop has not been started yet.

Way to go Chad! :good job:

Good idea to go ahead and order. Although I spent a good deal of time setting up my shop, it seems, my shop always needs one more project, and I always need only a couple more tools. At some point you have to jump in, get started, and let the project direct your shop and tools.

Thanks for the replies and support guys! I would expect nothing less from this great group!

LooseNut,

Those were my thoughts as well. I have many ideas for the shop, but I will have the walls done this weekend, and that's the main thing. From that point, we'll see where the build takes me!

Thanks again everyone! :)

I'm going to visit a friend tomorrow evening who is building a -7, and putting a rotary on the front. He has it on the engine mount, but on a stand while the cowling is finished. Should be an interesting evening! These engines have my interest piqued. Hhhmmmmmmmmm.....

The emp kit was waiting for me on the front step today! My wife and I got it all inventory'd except the numerous baggies. I'll do those tomorrow night. It's late, and I'm too tired to count.

I have another training kit to do first. What a nice suprise from Van's! They changed the training kit since my first one, and this one will teach me even more than the first did. Plus, it's all pre-punched. 8)
