Well, ummmmm...

Tanks... I am building TANKS! Not the M1 or Abrahms kind, much lighter really!

I took some pics this weekend, but haven't uploaded them as my camera is in the JEEP. I will get some to ya soon.

Today I went to the local EAA brakfast Fly-in in Hanson, MA with Thermos. We drove in, but came back to Plymouth and booted around in the Citabria a bit. He said I didn't scare him. DAMMIT ALL! I will try harder next time!

I didn't start any sentences with, "Hey, watch this!" this time.

Oh, and I got my braces off! My teeth feel MUCH better!

A great weekend!

What is everyone else up to?

CJ,

Spent the weekend watching the Blue Angles at Quonset Point! Watched them all three days. Sean Tucker and the Snowbirds were also there. Great show. (Day 2 of 54 days of leave!!!)

Back to work on the airplane tomorrow morning!

Take care,

Jim

Pounded fuselage rivets yesterday with my son. Looked at an Ercoupe I might buy also. Don't ask me why. Airplanes are addictive, and that's a fact.
Anyway, I'm building as best I can. The heat is literally on for the summer now, my least favorite building weather but hey, it's gonna be hot anyway, might as well build something. Gramps - RV7A

Ive been busy working the elevator skins for Pappa Juliet. Saturday Poeboy and I flew out to Cleveland for lunch at BKL. Now thats a neat airport. The pattern is flown over lake erie with final approach just about going over the city. Its kind of like a Meigs field in Cleveland.

Trip report and pictures to follow later this week I hope.

I wrecked (literally) a stretch of 6 days off during which I planned to fly a lot and work on the kit ...
Monday evening I took a spill on a friend's scooter, got a little concussed, broke a finger, 17 stitches in the chin, fractured tooth (root canal yesterday) and road rash from head to toe. :bang:

I need to roll the LE of the left elevator to finish up the empennage but I think the busted finger is gonna make that a little tough!

I don't mind the recovery - nothing a little ibuprofen won't take care of - but the dental work alone is 1400$ !! - I keep thinking of all the RV parts and tools I could buy with that....

WOW Thomas!

Those scooter things are DANGEROUS!

$1,400!?! That is almost the cost of a second EMPENNAGE!

:bang:

Yah, don't do the leading edge thing with a busted phalange. It is hard enough with ten good ones!

Get well soon!

I spent the last several weeks at glider races. It didn't help get the RV finished, but it sure was fun!

This last week I was flying in southern Ohio, but another of the classes had it's national championship in Utah. Here is a link to the results in Utah, because I think you all might recognize the name of the fellow who finished in 8th place! (Scroll down to the bottom of the page)

Hahaha, it made me laugh when I looked at the name!

I knew he was into gliders. I didn't know he was competing, though!
