Well, it is a truly bittersweet feeling. Today I sold my sled.

<sniff>

She was a good ride, but I need to focus on the plane. This also liquifies some loot for the fuse purchase this summer.

Here is a pic of it when it was new in 2002 with my late golden retriever.

:cry:

OK, now I can order that fuse at OSH!!!

Somehow I have a feeling you'll have more fun with your plane.

Jim, that is for sure.

I sold it to a friend and he says that I can still ride it when I want to, but I am more likely to fly up north and rent for a day.

To own a sled is similar to owning a plane, but without all the paperwork.

I didn't need the maintenance headaches.

With the time I used to spend wrenching on the sled, trailer and tow rig I can now devote to building.

I ride in Maine. Upstate, entirely. Destinations like Rangeley, The Forks, Greenville and Caribou are my regualar haunts. If you look at a map, it is a 5 hour drive MINIMUM. Caribou is more like 7-9 depending on weather.

With the RV I can make these trips in 1-2 hours!

Maybe when all our planes are done, we can do a sled trip?!? That would be fun!

I would be glad to be your guide!
