I don't understand why someone crafty and intelligent enough to build a plane would or could be so stupid to fall for this:
Potential Scam?
Now, maybe he is a good ebayer, but I would never bid on this sucker!

Boy the power of the internet.

Hope they catch this guy.
"The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing."
Should read The seller ended this listing due to an error in his ways

Ebay safeharbors is a joke - take it from someone who was ripped off twice in the same day on ebay for totally different listings. Think Ebay gave a S*#T? NOT! I got a call from an detective a few weeks later and it turns out someone hijacked the identity of a legit seller and sold over $100,000 U.S. of non-existant goods. The detective had over 50 ongoing ebay fraud investigations, and told me how rampant fraud really is on ebay - they just try to keep it all quiet. I got no response from paypal (ebay owned) either, so went straight to my credit card company - paypal canceled my account! I wrote them saying it's alright, I'll never use them again anyway...
As they say - you pays your money and takes your chances.

Looks as if someone used a stolen credit card to get a couple of EFIS's. Dynon seems to have the answer. Thwart crime by rendering your software unusable or at least unupgradable. As Hamlet said "I am as the flute. You may play upon me but you may not fret me".

I got ripped off once on ebay. It was for a purchase that was under $25 so ebay said they could do nothing.

i've been ripped off once from an ebay seller. $111 dollars for a small home air compressor (not for building) and shipping. shipping was $50. i paid, recieved the DAMAGED item (cracked block). the seller would not respond AT ALL. i called DHL who delivered it to me and they said that the SELLER had filed a report on MY damaged item. WHAT!!?? how can the seller file this for me?? "i don't know" she said. it was filed before i tried to reach the seller, so they knew it was damaged. so, a couple of weeks later, i called DHL to check on the status of my shipping refund. i had determined that if the seller was not going to pay, i would go for a shipping refund, and at least get half of my money back. DHL says that since the seller had filed the report, the refund check for shipping was going to THEM!!!

i was PISSED!! so, i will never see that money again. they got my $111, plus the shipping refund, and i'm stuck with a piece of trash. the seller was econostore, and they are listed as a "power seller" on ebay. they suck. i left them negative feedback, and they did the same for me saying "this loser try to get free stuff". nice english. check my feedback, that's what it says.
moral: be careful with ebay. i've had really good luck other than that so far, but i'm always leary.
