Red Bull Air Race Finals

I've been bad about contributing latetly. What's worse is that this posting is only moderately RV-related.
I went to the Red Bull Air Race Finals this past weekend in San Francisco. Man, that's racing! The competitors were outstanding! We had box seats on the pier in Aquatic Park. We were 100-200 yards from the pylons. It's something to see those planes whizzing by at 200+mph 50ft above the water in a knife-edge turn set against the backdrop of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge! Afterwards we were treated to an F-16 demonstration (on full afterburner most of the time), the Fry's Electronics Jets (Huh? Me too.), and Sean Tucker who always puts on a good show especially when he's narrating while doing his routine. Last came the Blue Angels. Now, I grew up seeing them almost every year. I used to live on base in Pensacola, Fla. But my kids had never seen them and it was like getting to see them again for the first time. What a great weekend!
So how is this RV related? Dan Checkoway from the NorCal Yahoo group organized the trip and I got to sit with a bunch of RV builders. Not bad company.
