Well....I'M MOVING!!!

Post by Snap »

Hello all, thought I would let y'all know what is going on in the land of Snap.

I GOT THE JOB!!!! :yay:

I am starting this Monday, training for 6 weeks then online.
It is flying a S-76 Auto hover Search and Rescue Helicopter.

This is something I have been working towards for the last 6 years and here I am.

What does this mean? I am moving to Perth, Western Australia and I NEED A SHED/WORKSHOP. YAY!!!!

Won't be long now guys. I will finally be building.
oh yeah.....this was me last night.
I am one little happy camper.
And just when I thought it couldn't get any better....My RIVETBANGERS T-shirt arrived. Damn this is turning out to be a really really good Christmas.

Way to go Snap!
I spent 2 months in Perth / Fremantle when I was in medical school and LOVED it. What a spectacular place to live. I got to do some flying in the bush with a traveling surgeon in a Baron - that was a great experience.
That ranks as probably one of the best trips I have ever taken. I have nothing but great memories of living in Perth - the people there are great. I hope I can go back sometime - maybe I can get a ride in your -7!!

SNAP!

Of all the places in OZ, I liked Perth the best. I used to overnight there when I flew for QANTAS back in the 60's. We were flying Lockheed Electras over to Johannesburg via Cocos Island and Mauritius.

I'm sure you will enjoy it too. Jump on the ferry, take a trip out to Rottnest Island, GET SEASICK! A really fun day.

Cheers, Pete

Thanks everyone. I am excited for so many reasons.
I can tell you that I was wearing my Rivetbangers shirt tonight with pride.
I leave tomorrow so you wont hear from me for about 6 weeks (training).

I will try and keep in touch and let you know what I have ordered, 7A or 8A.

Have a very merry and safe christmas my friends. Stay cool!!! :good job:

Good luck, Snap!

I've spent more than a few hours in Sikorsky products over the last three years. The S-76 is a nice ride, and I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun.

Cheers,
