anti-rotation bracket oops??

Hi all -
I'm not sure if this is my screw-up or Van's - but thought I'd share it.

I laid out the holes & dimensions on the T-915 anti-rotation angle (the one that goes inside the fuel tank).
After checking it a couple of times I drilled the holes in both angles.

But when dry-fitting the parts, the angle stood ~ .030 off the cover plate. :bang:

I ended up making a small shim under each bracket.
No big deal.. but an extra step.... and I'm going to have to be carefull when sealing. :x

I suppose you could have just opened the hole on the bracket up a bit instead. After all, it's just to prevent it from rotating not to hold it exactly in place.

Thanks WS -
I thought about enlarging the holes - but decided against it.
Why??
I'm not sure... but it's probably my compulsive engineering geek side coming out.

No worries... but - I'm now up to my eyeballs in pro-seal (with only one major "oh-crud" so far).
Stay tuned... I'll post as soon as I get pics....
