I've got to slow down and double check my work before, BEFORE firing up the drill press.
I was working on the wing tip ribs today, cutting out all of the lightening holes. Well, in the process I skipped one of my pilot holes and drilled a 2.9 inch hole where a 2.8 inch hole should go. Any other rib wouldn't be too big of a deal. I'd scrap it and just move on. But the tip rib is friggin huge! Lots of aluminum for one rib.
I might just have to do that anyway. We'll see. I've got a call in to my bearhawk group to see if I can continue or if I have to remake the piece.

I think it is the weather, a biorythm or the position of the sun and the stars!
This just isn't a weekend to be working on planes!
Mybe we are all bummed that the summer is coming to a close with this Labor Day weekend.
I know I am!

That sucks PK! I tend to get in a hurry too, and forget to think things through. Next thing you know, I'm remaking a part...I know how ya feel...

Yeah, sounds like it's been a screwy weekend for several so far...I hope tomorrow isn't my day! I did solo buck the rivets on the flap brace today without any problem. First time I've EVER shot and bucked without a parther! Came out great, but I think I used up my luck for the week!

About 90% of my mistakes on the emp resulted from getting in too much of a hurry

I think I survived the weekend without any major goof ups. I did get some small stuff done that I needed to do but spent most of my time on inventory and putting stuff away.
PK and Will, I have ahd the same problem in the past, get in a hurry, make a mistake, take twice as long. I'm learning. I hope.
Chad, bucking yoursekf isn;t as bad as it sounds is it. I di most of my HS and VS myself. Sometimes it is almost easier if it isn't to hard to reach.
