I'm not putting the handle through the instrument panel, but I do like ease of maintenance, especially since I plan to play quite a bit behind the panel.

Spruce got my replacement 4130 tube to me yesterday, so today I remade the long pushrod, and the results are MUCH better this time...the way it's supposed to be!

It has a nice, tight over-center lock, and works great!
