i found out the other night just how thin .016 really is. i went to set down my cleco pliers, and they slipped from my hand from about 3" up. made a small dent in the skin. i don't see this as a big deal, but i would like to try and remove it, but not cause further damage. looking for some advise here. that stuff is REALLY thin!

Use SuperFil (available from Spruce) when you're finishing the plane prior to painting.
Bondo will shrink and crack from what I've heard and is not good for aluminum airplanes.
I did a similar thing when I missed the edge of the back rivet plate and dinged the rudder.
I used the flush set CAREFULLY on the back rivet plate to flatten it most of the way and will use superfil before painting.
