Spinner DELETE!
My finish kit will be arriving soon. I chose to delete the spinner because I wanted a nice SHINY polished stainless one! I didn't want a Hartzell C/S prop to have a cheezy plastic spinner.
I know it was going to run into some loot, but I really wanted some airplane BLING on the front of the plane. You know, kinda like putting mags on your hot rod. So it goes.
Anywhoooo, while surfing ebay, I came across one that came off a Bonanza.
I WON IT!!!

I think it will shine up pretty nice!
For under $100, it costs less than the Van's spinner!
I can't WAIT for it to arrive!

Funny you should ask...I (well, Image Air) just put 5 spinners on Ebay last week (no polished Hartzell's). I had to look up the retail price on these since we set our reserve at 50% of retail. They range from $620 for a Tomahawk spinner to $2,000 for a Navajo Spinner. I'd be willing to bet the one you bought would be at the higher end of things...

Spinner REPLACE!
Not bad, eh?
Come to think about it, I actually MADE money after deleting Van's spinner!
I got a $123 credit and this one (including shipping) stands me $95!
I am pretty much done with the Dremel and ready to start with the big wheel now.
Whatcha think?
It ain't got a thing if it ain't got that BLING!

I must add that it was this picture of Peter's borrowed RV-6 that turned me onto this whole idea!
Peter, can we get some close ups on the cowl to spinner area?
I am wondering about the match up.
