Aluminium skin thickness

Hi Everybody,
an you help me telling me how thick and what type of aluminum you are using for the spar, ribs and the structure of the plane?

Most of the RV-7 is made out of 2024 aluminum. The thicknesses vary depending on the structure. Because it's a kit, us builders don't need to pay all that close attention to the materials being used, as they are already provided. Typical skin thickness is 0.032, with some 0.016 (rudder). I think most of the spars are 0.032, with the exception of course being the wing spar which Van's fabricates for us.

Varies depending on the aircraft's size and design requirements, but commonly ranges from around 0.125 inches (3.175 mm) to 0.25 inches (6.35 mm).
