My vacation down to the desert southwest, and the opportunity to see a few of my Oshkosh pals , has motivated me to get started on planning the annual RV Builders Family Reunion for Oshkosh -- also known as Piece of Grass, since that's what we provide -- a piece of grass to sit or stand upon for several hours of story-swapping.
If you're unfamiliar with the event over the years, go here:
It appears as though EAA has raised camping rates again -- $22 a night this year. I plan on buying 6 sites to give us room to spread out. I get there on Friday and have to pay for the sites through Wednesday night, so we're looking for donations at this point.
All the details of the evening are here:
Don't RSVP yet. I'm hoping to raise enough -- or near enough -- by June 1 to definitely hold the POG. At that time, I'll be looking for a head count.
(I don't want to sp*m a bunch of Yahoo groups so please pass this along to other RV builders/groups you think may be interested)

You've probably seen this over on "the other side," but this is being moved out of Camp Scholler which is moving the 24-hour generator area out to where we camp (although today they changed it to only going out to 15th St, still too close unless you like truck stops. I don't).
Current possibilities now are MAYBE a tent in the North 40 or -- more likely -- an outside sit-around after the Van's dinner on Thursday.
All money for campsites has been returned to those who donated. Check your PayPal accounts and let me know if you didn't get it (actually there's one or two I didn't get back to b/c I already spent some money on this and I'll have to send checks back. ) If you sent a check, just void it out and I'll rip it up at this end.
