Fourth Annual Mid-Atlantic Gathering of RV's - June 18th

Post by bullojm1 »

For the fourth consecutive year, EAA Chapter 1384 is sponsoring the Mid-Atlantic Gathering of RV's at the Carroll County Regional Airport (KDMW - Westminster, MD) on Saturday, June 18th (Rain Date - Sunday, June 19th). The event will start at 0930 and go until 1500.

Food and Drinks will be available, along FUN FOR EVERYONE! The event has been a GREAT SUCCESS the last three years (see threads http://www.vansairforce.com/community/s ... hp?t=99800. http://www.vansairforce.com/community/s ... p?t=112928 and http://www.vansairforce.com/community/s ... p?t=128715).

I hope to see the following people there:
Alfio
CJ - Bring the New England Flash Mob with ya (Noah, Albit, AO+A, Draper, etc..)
Phil and David from Martinsburg,WV
Chad - Fly on down. I'm sure you can finagle VP to pick up your expenses!
Vlad (Only if you don't stink :D )
Bob Leffler

For those of you that want to stay the night and enjoy some cocktailing, I have a boat that sleeps 4 comfortably in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. It's in a great location and is very walk-able to many bars the restaurants (CJ will attest to the prime location!).

Oh, the bote is saweeeet!

Btw, we have a conflict that needs to be worked out.

I am planning a pig roast here at KPYM that day...

Hmmm... Might have to bump the pig roast.

If I do, will you come here the following week? All are welcome that are reading this now!

I have a conflict that day. I just received an invitation to participate in the Innovation of Flight event at the Stephen Udgar-Hazey Smithsonian facility that day. I couldn't pass a chance to fly the RV-10 into Dulles. That's a bucket list item to check off. Perhaps next year?

Bob - I'm super jealous to say the least. That event is on my bucket list as well.

Will the pig complain it a builder flys in with an old 1946 Aeronca? I'll park it somewhere away from the RVs. :-) I don't think RV9 will be flying yet, but I'd enjoy the company.

Steve,

We are changing the theme this year to "RV and Friends". While the Gathering of RV's will consist of mainly RV's, we welcome everyone, whether you fly an experimental or certified aircraft.

Event weather updates will be available at: http://www.eaa1384.org

There will be door prizes and pilots may register in advance or upon arrival. We encourage pre-registration as it helps us plan accordingly, but it is NOT mandatory! You can pre-register by following this link: http://goo.gl/forms/vf46cGzqtDMZkgeh2

Hope to see plenty of rivetbangers there this weekend!

Cheers,

Let's hope for good weather!

I won't be spending the night on the boat though.

I need to be here in the morning for another fly in.

Looking forward to it!

Tomorrow is looking fantastic for weather - great temperature, low humidity and low winds for most of the Mid-Atlantic area and up to the Northeast.

Come on our for a great time, free food and Mitch Lock's RV-14!
