Close, I have a basic VFR panel rather than the Grand Rapids EFIS that I wanted. When I asked my wife what color we should paint the plane, she didn't hesitate, kandy apple red was her reply. She has been SO supportive through out this whole process that there just wasn't any question, kandy apple red it is.

The fuel tanks are all white and are off for painting.

nice looking scheme, be sure to post some pics when you get it back together.
clever name ...sky terrier. 8)
i am building a paint booth now. i hope to finish it this week and hopefully get started on the beginning of the end. i have spent two weeks on it so far and am ready to be done with it. framed it out of 4 inch channel iron and man, is that stuff is a bear to drill through. two exhaust fans and a home blower unit pumping filtered air into it. we'll see how it works. i'll paint a black hood for my truck first to see if i got the trash reduced enough to paint my plane. if not who knows what i'll do but i dont want to pay 8,000$ to paint it. :o
william....don't let it beat you down, you are stronger than you think.

That's a great looking scheme Steve! Like it!

Hey, do you know Terry Wendling up here in Bloomington/Normal? Seems like he mentioned your name to me in the past.

I may very well know him but I am SOOO very bad at remembering peoples names. It may have been from the work I did with the KR group and the University of Illinois in designing a new laminar flow airfoil for the KR-2. Our work has been written up in Sport Aviation a couple of times.

EMB-145, AKA The Jungle Jet, Barbie's Dream Jet, Micro Jet, and so forth.

Disclamer. For any FAA types. That photo was taken above 10,000 ft by a guy on the jumpseat...

Looked more like you were kissing it. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Some guys really like their headsets. :luv:

Yeah they are nasty. I'm too lazy to lug my own around with me for 4 days. I wipe the whole thing down with alcohol pads each time I get a new plane, but i'm sure I still get to swap spit with many of the other pilots at my company.

Been lurking for a while and still plan to start on an RV-7 soon enough.

This is me coming back from some repair work done to our companies Navajo. This was in Mena Arkansas going back to Anchorage Alaska.

Its most likely because its a query. The software is set to protect us from certain kinds of redirects and scripts. It will only allow some things if you load them from the rivetbangers photo server.

This site has helped me much, I appreciate it. Good to see a face to the many names.
