sometimes it works out. I was able to swap my LHS slick mag with my spare without removing any other components except the oil filter (while changing oil) and clipping a couple wire zip ties. it's packed in there! the mag came out the top, gear first. both my mags are 4371 impulse. time for a 500 hr service. engine check run was good.
