wheel balancer

Post by A2022 »

I bought this for my bike wheels but according to Marc, it will also fit RV wheels. what a beautifully machined piece and compact for the toolbox.

nose wheel balancer

Post by A2022 »

approaching 1200 hrs on the nose wheel tire. I'll probably take it to 1225 hrs. inflated and pre-talced the new tube to condition for several weeks before install. I've never had a flat and don't want one.

working a device to confirm the tire balance of the nose wheel because it does not have a balance dot. it was only repeatable to 1/3 revolution, so not good. I need to correct the white support plugs to have more cone, or cowbell. I want to achieve balance repeatability to 1/64 revolution.

More Cowbell

Nose wheel....1/32 rotation balance repeatably achieved. runout = .040 inch. there is one location, 2-inch arc, that is .040 low. other than that, it is round to within .020. overall, the tire is well balanced and has reasonable runout. very happy with it. I marked the light side for installation. for critical installations, such as nose wheel, it's good to know what you are working with.
