crankcase vacuum system rattlesnake

coking the exhaust mounted vacuum port, a little on each flight, but how much? I have seen guys install these systems and then their flying goes way down. they just don't know how much coking is in there on each flight, so they reduce their flying. they are unsure about the coking rate and how it correlates with humidly, oil temperature, oil level, exhaust temps, etc. they just don't know positively how fast the coking is accumulating. so, they reduce their flying, and the belly stays clean with the aircraft always in the hangar. hey, forget about the worry of a crankcase vacuum system and simply eliminate it. remove the crankcase vacuum system, clean the belly a couple times a year (15 minutes) and fly worry free. throw the rattlesnake out the window.
