I picked a couple of spare oil drain plugs from Grainger for 87 cents. I drilled a lock wire hole. I discarded the Safe-Air quick drain plug a couple of years ago. I am not sure how this drain plug differs from the OEM drain plug, but the material may be different. Cast iron vs aluminum are in the green on galvanic corrosion chart.

I also has the "Safe"-Air oil drain plug in my RV for about 12 years. I never really liked it, seemed very cheap.
I swapped it out for the Fumoto T202N. I liked the fully locking valve - there is no way this could open in flight. The truly paranoid could safety wire the valve lever.

January is a good time to catch up on these Safety Items in order to be able to blast out when the good weather arrives. I thought about reselling my removed Safe-Air quick drain but then decided the trash can was a better place for it.
