Panel planner is fun and all, but THIS is BETTER!

I decided to find all my current list of panel goodies on the net today (except the 295...that's a real pic I took tonight of mine and printed it on paper), and print them out to actual size scale...

It's REALLY cool to sit on the couch with your panel sitting in front of you!!!

Yes, those are ALL printouts...looks sorta real, huh!?

Nothing is measured or lined up, but I thought I'd slap 'em in somewhere close to get the idea.

Heckuva lot cheaper than epanel builder.

Have you checked out the Odyssey yet? Both that and the Enigma look intriguing but I don't know how geeky I want to be while I'm flying. I just want to press a button and have it work. I don't want to program things. I do that enough at work.

Chad looks cool.

I have a friend that is building him a 6A and he decided not to put in a CD player. He saved all that panel space by installing a small little 1/8" jack for his "MP3" player that is about the size of a cigarette lighter. Small, light, sounds great, holds a bazillion songs and you can take it with you....

I have looked in to the Odyssey. I like it, but it's HUGE! Still a contender if the price is descent. The Enigma seems better suited to me. It's a little simpler, and smaller.

Yeah, the CD player is just in there to make sure I have room for whatever sound unit I decide to put in. I don't really want, or need, a CD player, but I WILL FOR SURE have XM radio. I'm two years in to my subscription, and it's my FAVORITE $13 I spend each month!

I don't know anything about MP3 players or iPods. Never kept up with the times on those...

I have the standard VFR panel from Vans I like the idea of a cd player but dont have much room left ! Maybe

I agree Mark! I had all my steam gauges until just recently...I REALLY like your panel!

Only reason I'm considering an all in one is for panel space for stuff like CD/XM...

What are the two thick black lines running up under the panel? Looks like they go to the fuel selector area...

They look like wiring conduits.

My guess is antenna and power.

CJ is right one conduit is for the wiring and one is for the coax's They are not secured in position yet,

Front panel express. What you have to do is down load a
Design programme and e-mail you order
The company has two offices one in the US and one in Germany
I paid £42 or for you guys in the states $ 83
For that I got switch /circuit breaker and flap panel
the quality is 1st class
I can highly recomend this company

Update on my panel thoughts...

My latest thinking is that I will forgo an EFIS, in order to get a GOOD autopilot in the ADI Pilot II. I really like the little singles from MGL too!

Oh, the Becker comm and transponer will not be in that corner...I plan to put them on a sub-panel in the middle, integrated with my throttle quadrant somehow...
