Flipped the canoe!

Post by captain_john »

Well, it looks like I reached another short term goal!

I told myself that I would have the canoe readt to be flipped on Halloween. It turned out that with help from Wicked Stick and fellow RV-7 builder, Allen S. we actually flipped it tonight!

Thanks for your help guys! I could not have done it without you!

Here is a shot of the inside:

CJ-

Looks great! BTW, you should have no issues with riveting the side skin to the longeron from in front of the F-705 to right before the F-902 bulkhead now. It'll be less clecoes for your clothes to get stuck on while you get yourself in and out of the canoe!

Congratulations!

Oooooh, I'm jealous. I'm just a'ichin' to get started on mine. I've got the order form filled out and stamped. I'm just waiting to get paid for a new website application I designed for the EAA.

Also, I realized yesterday that I will have to remove a set of built-in cabinets in the rear of garage so the fuselage will fit! No prob, I'll just move em' to the hangar.

I'm waiting for someone to strap themselves into their "canoe" BEFORE it is flipped to simulate an aileron roll (couldn't be in a RV-9 however).

Congrats!!!
