are these shipping tabs??

On the RV7 QB fuselage i have these tabs at the rear canopy/skin interface. I am going to show you with a photo. Are these for shipping?? They are just pop riveted on.

Do these look familiar to anyone??

They are not called for in the plans as far as I know...I certainly haven't seen anything like that, but I don't have a QB...Looks like a shipping tab.
