engine being built, prop on it's way, FWF kit here(most of it) and inventoried....now the real work begins. I got a little overwhelmed with the magnitude of what's ahead, until I stepped back and just said, "do one thing today"
I had never actually made a electrical drawing, just doodled some sketches. Last night I started making a working drawing...yikes I have no idea what I'm doing. Most of the examples I found are more complex than I thought I needed. I'll get something for you guys to review and take my lumps on why it's no good.
Get someone with an electrical background to help you. I worked with a simple schematic that Van's sent me with something. We made some additions and deletions and it went together. My friend worked as a telephone installler on computer switching and for AT&T and then a local spin-off most of his career. He was invaluable!

I don't mind the glass work...no brain power required, it's just work. the electrical on the other hand is challenging for me.
Brian-
I wish I would of known that a year ago. I would of gladly done all of your electrical in exchange for you doing my glass work. I HATE glass work.

Brian, you have the right attitude. Just try to accomplish one thing a day. If you do more than that then consider it gravy.
Your electrical diagram doesn't have to be as complex as some of the examples that float around the Internet. Just make sure you know which wire goes to which pin on which connector. Know where the power and ground wires are. You don't have to get real fancy about it. But definitely do get all your drawings together. You remember where the wires go now, but you won't remember in a few weeks.

I need to get the RV flying so I can travel to work on other RV's and they can work on mine.....oops that won't work
Scott, I've got my E-drawing sketched out. No where near as fancy as most, but then again I'm a simple guy building a simple plane. The other problem is a deviation from the "normal" compounds the situation. Mine is different enough I skipped the FWF kit and am now playing catchup getting proper materials to keep building. Also doesn't help I am in Montana, where all shipments take longer to get. a tuesday order takes until the next monday to reach me.
