I finally got back to building after a five day hiatus (life stuff happens). So, as of the end of April 2006, here's how my wings look-
I also hung the plumb bobs at each end to straighten them out-
I should have another 200 3/32 clecos at my doorstep when I get home today to finish the left wing, and get to drillin'!

Looks good Chad! I also have additional clecos on my list of need to order parts. Seems like you can't have to many clecos.

Chad -
Looks GREAT!
I guess I shouldn't mention your strategically placed lightening holes (roughly the size of wiring conduit) at the top of your main ribs, eh?
Don't forget to mark the inboard skin holes used for wing fairing attachments.
These don't get dimpled.

Thanks for the tip JohnR! Every little reminder helps!!
No problem CJ! Mine cost me a whole $6, so I spent less than you would have paid to ship yours to me!

What is the block of wood for in the top piccy? The one in the middle of the wings on the floor?

Snap, it is doing the same thing as my pipe and threaded rod contraption in this pic. Without it, the spars bow and it is hard to line up the holes!

Snap,
That block of wood is there to help support the middle of the spar from sagging because of the distance from end to end.
I used kind of the same setup, except the top part was threaded rod, so I could finely adjust the support to get the spar nice and straight by adjusting it like a screw jack.
Or you can borrow John's dog and have his behind support the spar while you squeeze some rivets

Actually, the top part of mine is threaded rod as well, with a connector nut and stop nut to keep it from moving...
