Wow, I had no idea you had been working on it that long. Makes me feel better about life getting in the way for the last several months. It is all relative anyway. I'm like you, it will get done, just don't know when.

That is part of the love that ABF gave me when shipping my kit. The new one is installed and that one is just waiting to be hacked up for shims or something. It is bent bad on one corner.

What's up with what looks like the extra belly skin on the left side of your garage? Decided to have the Flintstones floorless RV model?
hey vans bought me one of those as well. loks like they used there knee to hold it while taping it. has several dents in it. have an extra left spar that abf gave me..its useable but i didnt pay for gouged parts.
william....don't let it beat you down, you are stronger than you think.
Way to go! Before you take it apart, I would fit the wing to fuselage fairings, if you have them. I cannot remember if they came with the fuselage or finish kit.
Looks good Brian, you are making really good progress. With all this mating going on there are going to be little airplanes hatching soon and taking to the sky.
I'll ask you a similar question that I asked Mike. How big is your shop? I'm wondering how much room it takes to fit? i.e., what's the wing span on the RV-7 with the tips off?
I have not measured the wing span but my basement is about 28.3' wide and I think about 25' deep. I have almost 3 feet on each side to walk around the wings. I have some shelves on one side that make it a little tight on that end. I could put the wingtips on but that would block access. I will most likely scoot the entire thing over and fit one wingtip at a time and then remove them in order to keep the path clear.
The front to back is fine now but will become really tight when the engine and mount are on there.
It is cool to have what looks like an airplane sitting in your garage.

Been working on tons of little things. Got the fuel vent lines from tank to overflow port finished on both sides, control rods all made and installed, static system in, etc. Next will be the main fuel lines from tanks to boost pump then move on to building the canopy frame.
OH yea, I ORDERED MY FINISH KIT YESTURDAY!!!!
