Fuel pump install

Post by jim_geo »

I've been busy building the fuel pump cover and center cabin tunel, such as it is, this last week. A word to all those getting ready to plumb up this fuel pump configuration. Get yourself a tube bender that is able to bend 180 degree bends before you need it.

Jim, those bends sure look nice. I need to pick up a tubing bender myself, do you have any recommendations?

John, months ago I bought one of the benders pictured below. They work great but wont do 180 degree bends. I found one at a local hose and fitting supply store that is of the same basic design but has an off set handle and the mandrel does a full 180. $10.00 is what it cost me. If you can't find one and you need one I'll order it for you.

Jim Geo, mastering the art of upside down picture technology!

Hey Jim, what is the vernier knob by the fuel valve for? It is black, so is that where you are installing your power knob?

My guess on the black knob is elevator trim??

Actually John the fuse is on its side. Much easier to reach in that way.
