Wings

Post by jim_geo »

After a not real productive month, I finally saw some real progress in the shop last weekend 1/28/2007. Now the wings are both connected to the spar carry through with some hardware store bolts/pins.

That looks great Jim! Did you have any difficulty getting them in place or have any tips for us when we get there?

I can tell you that the modified work horses (shown on RB in another thread) worked just as planned. Getting help to move the wings off the stand and into the horizontal position was all that I required of outside help. I was able to slip the spar into the carry through by myself and raise the tip up easily until the bolt holes lined up. It was almost a one man operation.
