proposed panel

Post by hydroguy2 »

With lots of help from a fellow rivetbanger, I now have a nice layout of my proposed panel. Beats the pencil doodles and taped on images :(, that I've been looking at. (thanks brian, I owe you)

Not certain on the color yet, but I'm leaning towards bright yellow or orange for the base fuselage, so here's the panel in yellow
.

Spent $20 at the local print shop and got this full scale print of the PDF, Brantel put together for me. I spent a little time sitting in the fuse today:)

Looks even better in person. I had asked the shop to just print it on plain paper, but after the tech looked at it, he thought it would look better on the glossy. I'm happy

Hey Brian-

Panel looks good. You can gain a lot of extra panel space if you put the vents where the stock Van's vents go:

Here is a link to how I made my brackets:

If you move the vents, you will be able to turn the map box to be mounted horizontally, which might make it more usable.

Thanks for the input Mike, but I have placed the vents there on purpose.

Outboard of the vents will be headphone jacks, music inputs to keep the wires tucked to the side. Panel space isn't really an issue with my minimum panel. On the map box I may not use the Vans kit, so will be a custom size, possibly with a slide out shelf/cupholder.

EDIT: just visited your website....those are nice brackets.....hmmmm
