4pipes, crossover, 4to1.....

Post by hydroguy2 »

So now that the engine decision has been finalized(and deposit sent). I must turn to other decisions.

What's the exhaust flavor of the month? 4 to 1 collector, 4 pipes, crossover?

Here's my setup: RV-7, IO-360, forward facing Superior sump with AFP FI unit and Sam James Cowl.

I'm in contact with Vettermans and they have both a 4 pipe and crossover that fits this combo, but figured I'd get more input if possible.

.....Where did I set my magic 8ball/decision wizard?...anyone seen it?.... :bang:

Brian, I plan on going with the AWI 4 into 1 setup.

My install is very similar to yours and my reasons for doing so are:
a) Good company and product
b) I like the heat muff already installed
c) looks GREAT!

You can't forget the smoke system.
Maesure with a micrometer, mark it with a crayon, cut it with an ax.

I quit smoking about 10 years ago. I heard that smoking and asbestos really dont mix well.

I do like to puff a good Cuban cigar once in awhile, but like Bill Clinton; I do not inhale.

After a couple of phone calls and internet searches. I called Larry Vetterman to go with a proven system. I picked the 4 pipe setup, mostly due to my non standard situation.

:( more money out the door
