Its a complicated equation of why I haven't been working on the RV lately --

Grad School finals + Ski trip to Bozeman, MT + Vacation to Munich + (yes chad, new g/f)*20 = No RV time for the past month!

Luckily my life is getting back to normal and you all should see some MAJOR progress this weekend.

So you were 60 miles away and didn't call!.....well I guess I know where I rate. Guess that's what I deserve being a snowboarder.

Which hill? How was the snow? I heard the snow was a little thin. I didn't make it to Bridger or BigSky this year.

Brian-

I thought about callin ya up, but it was a boring week of skiing all day and drinking all night  Had a cabin on Bridger, which we skied 4 days, then went down to Moonlight Basin for one day. Snow at Moonlight was awesome!

Damn KDMW has a lot of birdies!

Plan is to load the RV around 10:00am, and probably deliver it to DMW around 11-12.

Move complete!

Post by bullojm1 »

Today I successfully moved my project to the hangar. The tow truck driver was really awesome. It was his first airplane and I think he was more nervous about moving it than I was. Definitely nice to find someone who cares so much about the job they do. I don't tip for this sort of service often, but this guy deserved it.

Airplane waiting to be moved:

Image

Loaded up on the flatbed. It needed to be adjusted when it got up there, as you can see because the tail isn't on the truck. With a little adjustment it was fine.

Image

Rolling towards KDMW. It was touch driving behind it watching it bounce up and down violently as we rolled down the road.

Image

Safe and sound at KDMW. I was finally able to relax a little.

Image

Next obstacle for the day was squeezing it into the t-hangar with my hangarmates RV-4:

It's tight, but they do fit. I need to buy some dollies for the RV-4 so I can be able to put my wings on. This sharing of the hangar is just temporary now until my hangar mate's name comes up on the wait list. I don't mind a little inconvenience to save some $$$!

GREAT DAY!

Glad it went well Mike. Now for the tool dance, is that wrench at home or at the hanger ...

Good going! Congratulations. The tool dance is a lot of fun. The hanger I use belongs to the EAA Chapter but several non members have keys to the hanger for a variety of reasons. Therefore I take my tools back and forth every time I go out there. Many times if find that id don't have the tool I need. However the FBO Bob Leaders and Sons are very helpful. It is a life saver to have them there but still a person hates to always be begging! Hope to see you flying soon.
