Brian,

Congratulations on a safe and successful first flight.

Now the second RB race is on - who will be the first to complete Phase I out of the 4 of us stuck in FAA detention?

   That's hilarious!!

My goal was to be out by December 17th so I could fly my wife and I to family Christmas on the 18th...that ain't happenin'...my goal is now January 31st, but I plan to annual the airplane between Xmas and New Year's day (to set up future winter annuals)...you'll all be catchin me over the next two months!

My guess is that you'll be the first Mike! How many hours now?

I'm only up to about 17.5 hours total now. Sounds like Dave might win this race.

Here's a clipped together video from Sunday's event.

freezing fog this morning, sunshine in the afternoon. $100 to top off the tanks before the fog rolled back in. this is just AWESOME!

Congratulations Brian! Way to go looks great! I have been away from the house for a few days and was real happy to read about your first flight this evening! Now pile the hours on it and we will have to meet somewhere in NDAk some day. Again congratulations and keep on posting!

I'll give my wallet a break this week from Avgas and will be working on the wheel pants. Now's your chance to catch back up ;).

LOL...actually it was saying "wow that's was a blast but glad you saw the fog bank moving back in"

by the time I put the plane away we had < 1/4mile vis. Today we have no fog, warmer but winds 10kts and gusty conditions increasing all day.

Spike, I double dog dare you to try to catch us.

Lance and Bob, I'm planning on being in western SD/ND in June for the Montana Antique Aircraft Association(MAAA) air tour. They let anyone go with them and the next trip is starting here, then heading to SpearFish, SD then north somewhere TBD, ending at Fort Peck, MT.

I told my boss, I'm buying a new calendar and start listing all the fly-in events for 2011. I have 200hrs of vacation built up and don't plan on having any this time next year.
