Best website for gear leg fairings and wheelpants

Post by captain_john »

Hey all, I am quite obviously doing the plastic stuff now and was wondering if anyone has found some really good, DESCRIPTIVE sites for how to do this stuff?

I am fiber-glassically challenged and need some immersion therapy.

What have you got?

I don't recall where I found wheel pant info, BUT I will say "reinforce the fingers of the gearleg fairings" Both of mine failed. I just reglassed them this week.

Hmmm, yah... Billy had to do his too!

I understand that isn't a corner to cut.

Is it me or do the instructions kinda suck for this part?

I ended up putting strips of AL on my gear leg fairings. The tabs failed quickly.

Now there's one part that seems kind of an odd way to mount them.
So glad my 8 has the Grove gear. Nothing to fair and no external brake lines to worry about.
