Nope,

The pipe counterbalance on the ailerons is fixed and the rudder uses the entire lead block as it is.

How close are you now Gary?

Will it fly on sunday?

No snow yet. I'm heading up to my house in Maine soon. We usually get some snow there this early.

The Garmin stuff is great! I just love the way it works! I think you will too. I did a night flight last night and the screens are set up to automatically dim when I flick on the nav lights. I really like that trick!

Thats interesting.......how does the screen know you have selected the nav lights? I know those systems do so much stuff, I'm really looking forward to using it. Talk soon

It's all in the magic of electronics!

Diodes, transistors, etc.. Basically there are active highs and lows in your boxes. When you ground something and it turns on, that it is an "active low". When you give something power and it turns on, that is an "active high".

The GDU's have active highs for the displays. Give (I forget which) the pin power and it dims the screens for night. I just hooked it up to the nav lights and VIOLA! Automatic dimming!

My AFS AOA system uses an active low for the LED displays. so, I just got a relay box that should be able to convert the high pulse to a low one for that circuit. UGH! Trials and tribulations! I am still tweaking the set up, but pretty much have the plane where I want it now.

For me, the wiring was the most fun!

yes when I saw the screen and wiring diagram i flipped. but once i got it wired and flashed up it was like a giant video game. I haven't gotten too deep into the setting stuff yet but I think it will be interesting to do once I get there. put the wings on twice today to convince myself they are ready for paint and I'm pretty sure they are complete. I'm up to Edmonton Alberta tomorrow for my fisrst taste of winter. Hey while you are on the phone do you have a picture of your panel? Would love to check it out if you don't mind, Cheers G

yes i got that in my panel too. I was having "Glass Screen" anxiety and decided i wanted to have tthe dedicated box as opposed to going thru the screen. Nice to year it works well.
