Dang it - i did it again... posted without logging in.
I've wrestled with this for a long time and with the near completion of the wing I'll need to make a firm decision soon.
As far as I can see, the two most compelling reasons for going either way are soft-field access for the tail-dragger and taxiing visibility for the trike.
What is the scoop on being able to get into unimproved runways with the 8A?
Most of my flying experience is in a tail-dragger, but I like it both ways.
Any feedback here, pros & cons, or thoughts on this will be appreciated.

RV8A - unique problems
There are several unique problems that arise for the 8A .. ( flying 8A with 175 hours ) .. Gear alignment frequent tire replacement ..Vetterman crossover exhaust is poorly suited for the design . It is too close to the the nose gear mounts .. Inspect several RV8As and you will see that it rubs on the mount or underside air ramp .
