Well, things are moving right along and it's starting to actually look like an airplane:

Paul, Looks GREAT!

I don't think that I have ever seen the inside of your shop before!?!

How about some more of the workplace?

Paul, looks like it is coming right along. I'm hoping to get some time in on mine this week. Finally getting over the crud I caught right after Christmas.

When I got going good on the fuselage I was amazed how many clecos it took. It seemed to me like the fuse takes more than the wings. Looks like I'll be needing them all again when I get to them top skins from looking at yours.

Keep those photos coming! I like them. :)

CJ,

This is just my garage. Empty except for the fuselage and some wood I have stored on the side. My real shop is in the basement but I don't have any pictures of it.

I figure that I have about 2 weeks of work to go to finish the fuselage kit, except for riveting the top skins which will be done after a lot of the wiring is done. I only have to turn the fuselage over and mount he gear and a few pieces of metal and it is on to the finish kit and FWF kit. I have my panel designed and all the avionics on order. My engine is sitting in the basement and my prop is due next month. The only thing left to order are the seats cushions.

Here is the basic panel plan:

Dual GRT displays
PMA 8000B Audio Panel
SL-30 NAV/COMM
GNC-300XL GPS/Comm
GTX-327 Transponder
AOA PRO Angle of Attack
Trio Autopilot and Alittude Hold
Backup compass, airspeed, altimeter, Clock/G-meter, T&B

Paul,
Are you building a metal or wood airpane? :) Just kidding. Just wondering what you do with all the wood?

Scott,

The wood is a hold-over form my wooden boat days -- oak, mahogany and teak.

Green.

Actually it is a 2-part water reducible high chromate epoxy primer made by Deft. It is manufactured for Boeing and is used on all the 700 series airliners that they build up in Seattle. I like the fact that it is water reducible as I can clean up my spray gun with water. Much easier.

Paul,

Great job... nice to see some progress pics.
At this rate, I think you are starting to pass me.

Now that the holidays are done, I'll have to get back in the groove and keep pace.
