Prism Powder coating

Post by Wicked Stick »

Last week I got my two roll bars and rudder pedals powder coated.

I wanted them to match my intended paint scheme Image
so I had Prism Powder coating (www.prismpowderusa.com) redo them in red for me. They came out really nice. (although a little pricey at $200.00 for all 4 parts) But, the quality is top notch and will be more durable in the long run versus paint, especially for the rudder pedals. Image

Sweet! I just dropped my flap handle and control sticks off at the powdercoaters for the same red treatment! I should've done my pedals too, I suppose, instead of paint. Oh well, we'll see how they hold up.

LOOKS GREAT Dave!!

That is a very unique and striking paint scheme, it's going to look incredible. The powder coated parts will just add that extra touch too.

Dave, I like it! That is really looking nice and the paint scheme looks great. Your avatar has always intrigued me but I believe this is the first I've seen of the entire scheme. Thanks for sharing it with us. :good job:

Thanks everyone. I have been slightly hesitant to unvail the paint scheme, but figured it's time to show it off, even if it takes another year before it's painted.

I wanted something unique, and edgy. I wanted something that would also photograph well, both in the air against the blue skies, and also sitting on that green grass strip.

Spike,
It was a colaboration of my ideas and name, along with a fellow named Nate from Key Design Professionals in Friend, Nebraska.
His E-mail is Nathan Klenke [nate_klenke@kdp-ne.com] if your interested in contacting him.

New Englanders always used to say "That was Wicked Cool" or "Wicked this or that...etc. So I figured since it is flown with a stick, I'd name her the "Wicked Stick"

Dave that is wicked nice! I bet it is wicked durable too!

I can't wait to see it!

I forgot to get you the borescope and bigass crimper last night. It was in the back of my JEEP the whole time! Let's catch up again this weekend.

Nice deal there Chad.

If it weren't for the fact that this place was only 10 minutes from my house, I suppose I would have looked for another place to send them.
For the price you paid, I could have paid for shipping both ways and still save a little dough.

Yeah, this place is just on the other side of town, and the prices are great!! It's called Powder Coating Unlimited.
