W-909L

Post by Spike »

I don't suppose anyone anywhere close to the DC/Baltimore metro area has a W-909L lying around that they aren't using do they? I appear to be missing the one necessary for my right LE and we all know how fast Van's is in getting orders out.

Spike-

I don't have one, but here's the secret to getting stuff FAST to the east cost from Vans-

1) CALL THEM UP! I think they download the web orders at night, so web orders are always a step behind. I try calling right when they open in the morning to try to beat the rush. Everytime I have called them up before noon (eastern time) the part has shipped that day.

2) Use USPS (Postal) for shipping. Not only is it the cheapest way to ship, but it also takes only TWO DAYS to get from Van's to the east coast. Every order I have put in Monday gets to me by Wednesday. Amazing.

Good luck!

Now that I think about it, are you using USPS priority or just USPS. Whats the largest thing you have gotten from them?

Spike-

USPS Priority.......I think there is a 24" limit to whats "affordable". But then again, compare USPS with something larger to FedEX or UPS 2/3 day. I still think USPS is the best way.

Hey, give it a whirl.......the people at Van's are great at telling you what you can and can't send via USPS.

Thanx for the advice! I ordered Monday morning and the rib and proseal arrived in MD today. They used USPS Priority Service. It was a bit pricey at $20.81 but worth it go keep my pace up.
