halfway through my condition inspection for 2023. this is my 10th condition inspection. engine and cockpit linkage completed. empennage and wheels remaining. no findings so far. enjoy your life, get a -9A.

9 points:
1. easy to fly
2. handles crosswinds well
3. economy and reliability, O-320 (low pressure fuel in the cockpit)
4. a good cross-country machine
5. lands slowly
6. very low maintenance, no changes to the airframe since new....nothing
7. is fast enough and can go high
8. a constant speed prop is nice for takeoff, 2000 fpm, if lightweight and a cool day
9. carries a folding bike (20-inch wheels) and lots of stuff.... and two people.

what more do you want?

and best of all, you can listen to music while you travel the country... after a nice trip, you will definitely have "Afterglow". many times, after a trip, I would just sit and look at the machine and be amazed. is it better than sex, NO, but close. as I get older, it gets even closer.

320 engines are less expensive.

that crack in the asphalt is a good place to locate the main wheels before start. power up to 1700 RPM to start the roll.

Montreal via Plattsburgh. a very nice time. the plane was on the on the ramp 5 days with lots of weather but good to go. the plane didn't move. I need to work on my French.

Cincy-Canandaigua-Plattsburgh-Erie-Cincy

continued....rented a car in Plattsburgh and drove to Montreal South Shore to visit my wife's parents. they have a small farmhouse built in 1860. I did some small painting for them on the front of the house. the walls of the house are thick, horizontal timbers with steel wool between. Montreal South Shore is an industial garden... carrots, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. they don't allow burning there because when it is dry, in some places the land will burn.. peat. you will not go hungry there! I ate a lot of blueberry and blackberry.

I thought about asking for a straw so I could make a fuel line or something...
