flaring tool question
flaring tool question
I am ready to install the aluminum pitot/fuel lines, and have searched the forums for info on flaring tools... seems like the Roto Flair, and the much simpler looking Hi Duty flaring tool (from Spruce) seem like the two that are often used.. any thoughts on which is better suited?

I used the Parker Rolo Flare Tool. Cleveland Tool Supply sells it for $97.00. I'm sure others sell it also. It can be seen here:

i have found their prices better than any other so far. this tool works well but has a tendancy to leave impressions on the back side of the flare from the die blocks. many use it without any problems.

william....don't let it beat you down, you are stronger than you think.
Just make sure that you are using a flairing tool for AN fittings. Automotive flairing tools produce a different flair degree. Can't remember the proper AN degrees of flair off the top of my head. I think it is 100 degrees.
