rudder tip
The plans are telling me to drill and dimple the aft three 3/32 holes in the top of each rudder skin because you will not be able to get in there and dimple them later, no room. MY question is why would I dimple those holes when the plans call out for attaching the rudder tip with blind rivets? I am wondering if I am missing something here
If I am looking at this right the rudder tip attaches to the top holes in the counterbalance skin and the rudder skin. Not seeing why I need to dimple holes for a blind rivet? Drawing 7 RV9 Sorry if this is a dumb question but like I said I may be missing something, Thanks.

rudder tip
The blind rivet (CS4-4) is a flush rivet like most of the
driven/squeezed rivets. The rudder tip will need to be countersunk for
the rivet when you install it.

I was missing something! I looked at one of those rivets and thought it looked like a regular rivet( not a flush rivet). I can see upon closer inspection of a CS4-4 rivet it is countersunk. My eyes are not what they use to be. Thanks
