Quick build wing

Post by dirtmanf800 »

Are there any drawbacks to using the quickbuild wing :?: Other than the cost like, lighting choice or antenna locations :?
collecting tools, planning shop, studying -9A preview plans, old and new training project on hand, fabricating stiffeners.

HA! You don't get the opportunity to ding your leading edge like me!!!

I suppose you could do it another way!

I can't think of anything that cannot be done to an SB wing that couldn't be done to QB.

Some processes are easier to do in a SB, such as Duckworks lights and wiring conduits... but not imposible on a QB.

The one insurmountable drawback to the QB wing for me was the EXTRA 4 LARGE!!! I am just a poor high school teacher.

I went SB for other reasons too. I wanted to be able to say, I made this, it didn't seem beyond my capabilities and for the learning opportunity of the entire project.

I also wanted the confidence to RE-build any part, should I ever need to.

Hopefully I won't ever bend it that badly!

Those are my reasons.

i second those reasons to the "T". i built it, and i can fix it. the four grand is impossible to get past my wife anyway, so it's SB for me! :o

I believe you are stuck with the float guage type fuel senders on quick build.
If you want capacitance, then your stuck with slow build kit to do it.

Yes you are (stuck?) with float gauges.
