I believe in on-condition maintenance for both engine and aircraft, unless it has anything to do with carbon monoxide. if it is related to carbon monoxide, fix it immediately. based on the data presented, the engine is most reliable at 2500 hrs. based on this video, I purchased a Vividia VA-400 borescope. it should be better than the borescope I have and less chance to drop something into the cylinder by my clip-on borescope mirror. makes me want to run unleaded but didn't work so well for me on a very hot day in Kansas.
