Penn Yan?

Post by cjensen »

Anybody had experience with Penn Yan? I've been looking at several manufacturers, and Penn Yan seems to keep rising to the top value-wise.

Anybody here use them yet?

Well, the prices and what you get in the "package" is what I mean by value. And, I am mainly speaking of the XS package that they build using Superior parts.

Here's a link to the pdf page on the XS-IO-360 parallel valve package. You get a lot for your money here...$19,800 for the fixed pitch injected motor. There are options (like roller tappets, cold air induction, port and polish, and custom paint) that run it on up to about $23k, but THAT is a good price!

I was just asking cause I know of a 180HP 360, roller tappets, carbed, and a hollow crank bought from superior just after Osh for $20.5k.

Yeah, I knew of that deal at OSH at well. That was with the $500 off and free shipping if delivered before the end of '06, right?

It's right in line with Penn Yan's prices, but it should be since they are using Superior parts.

After having a good look at everything at Oshkosh I think I'd go with Mattituck. That's just me.
